Secondary correction of the post-traumatic deformity: A clinical study

The current manuscript explores the outcome of treatment for post-traumatic secondary deformities using re-fracture segments by osteotomies bone either at fractured site or orthognathic with repositioning to its premorbid place followed internal fixation. A total 14 patients were reported craniofacial region Department Facio-maxillary surgery from January 2019 - July 2022. All had varied clinical features including deranged occlusion, anterior open bite, difficulty in mastication, deviated nose, and depressed frontal bone. radiological findings mal-union, non-union, malocclusion, failed implants. treated fixation titanium age range deformity was 17-45 years. reasons that we experienced our institute excessive delay initial due neurosurgical issues, financial issues SARS-COVID-19, infections immunocompromised status patient, failure implants leading non-union. At end 3 months follow-up, all satisfactory results. re-osteotomising existing previous fracture doing reduction chronic malocclusion yields sufficient aesthetic functional outcomes when there is no loss hard soft tissue.
